Old-time Procession to Mass

Beginning in 2005, the Festival added this to the event as part of the celebration of Italian heritage. The procession begins on the Festival midway approximately one hour prior to the noon Mass. It proceeds along the four blocks to St. Joseph Catholic Church, arriving just before noon.  Every year a guest priest is invited to celebrate the Mass. For the past two years, Father Edmundo Stabene of Steubenville has been the guest priest. Also every year the choir is made up of persons from all churches and areas in the county.
Chairpersons for the procession and the Mass were Neal Kwasnicka and Dolly Contini.
