The pizza eating contest is conducted at the Heritage Tent. All that is required is to show up, no registration or entrance fee. The contest is divided into two age groups, 15 and under, 16 and over. Every entrant gets one piece of Penso's pizza. When the signal is given the first person to eat and swallow their piece, and show the judges their mouth is empty, is declared the winner. The junior winner in 2007 finished in 41 seconds, the senior winner in 27 seconds. It's great fun for everyone, contestants and spectators alike, and all participants have received a delicious piece of Penso's pizza. The Tuscarwas County Italian-American Festival Foundation would like to thank Penso's for their sponsorship of this event and their continued support. The contest was conducted by and under the watchful eye of Judge Bob Mueller.
