Every year the Festival is invited to participate in several area parades. The Host and Hostess are usually the representatives at these events to promote our Festival.
In May, we were invited to participate in the Dennison Railroad Festival parade.
The day started out great! As usual the Dennison Railroad Festival served a great meal prior to the parade. Dolly, Rae Ann, Eleanor, Nick, Don, Patty, Tim, Rick and John really enjoyed it and had a great time.

And then came the rain! Rick drove while Nick, Dolly and 2007's Italian of the Year, Eleanor, rode in the car.

Marsha rode with the Sciarrettis during the parade. Here they are passing the reviewing stand.
The kids had a really good time and they actually passed out more candy than they ate. By the time they reached the end of the parade route they were ready for a ride back to the school.
Rae Ann and Don were left to bring up the rear to be sure we had no stragglers.
The First Town Days parade was held in New Philadelphia on Independence Day.
We had a big turnout for the Town Days parade. The kids really like to be part of the action as do some of the adults.
.
As you can see by the shirts, the Sciarretti gang was out in full force to support Gabe and Donna.
NO VOTE NEEDED!!! Our Host and Hostess look great!

During 2007 we helped the City of Dover celebrate its Bicentennial. It was only fitting that we should participate in welcoming Santa to town. Although it was cold, everyone had a great time. Since they were such a big hit at the Bicentennial parade, we again volunteered to give away cookies near Santa's house and although the lines were never long, we gave away about 50 dozen. They must have been delicious!
Rae Ann, John and Fran spent Saturday afternoon decorating the vehicles for the parade.

After the vehicles were decorated Jingle Bell necklaces were made for the kids who would be riding and passing out candy.

Waiting in the cold for the parade to start didn't seem to bother anyone.
The kids all had fun while they waited in spite of the cold.
Loaded up and ready to go!
The cookie crew got rid of about 50 dozen cookies. That's a lot of cookies!

A satisfied cookie customer.

After the parade was over and all the cookies were gone, everyone adjourned to the Mason residence for sandwiches and hot chocolate. The kids were there but we were not allowed to take photos in the family room because it interrupted their viewing of the movie "Happy Feet".
