"Skip" Rondinella Memorial Heritage Tent

The Heritage Tent is used to demonstrate anything pertaining to Italian heritage. In the past, the Morra tournament and the Pizza eating contest have been held here. Demonstrations have been conducted on pizzelle making and pizza fretta (fried dough) with samples being available. In 2007, the tent was dedicated to "Skip" Rondinella for his contribution to this project.
The chairperson for the 2007 Festival was Bob Mueller.

Steve Rondinella pours the oil to begin making pizza fretta.

Here comes the first batch!
With the help of Cindy Conidi the Rondinellas get the first batch ready to sample.

The Heritage Tent is also a great place to take a break. The Fontanas enjoy a sandwich and a rest.

"Flash" and Evelyn Rondinella enjoy some food and a break. In reality they were probably making sure their niece and nephew were doing things right.

Adam rolls and cuts the dough while Dad fries the dough and his aunt, Kay DeMonte, sugars the finished product prior to passing out samples.

Kay took over the frying while Steve took a break and his daughter Ellie and her friend Beth take care of the sweet end of the business.
