John Vesco Memorial Golf Tournament

After a couple of attempts to get a Festival golf tournament started, in 1997 John Vesco took the reins. Assisted by Joan Beitner and Dolly Contini, John was the driving force responsible for getting it underway at Green Valley Golf Club. The format was a 2-man scramble which is still used today. John remained chairman until his death in April, 2005. At that time, to honor his many years of service and dedication to the Festival, the tournament was named the John Vesco Memorial Golf Tournament.

2008 Tournament
This year's co-chairpersons were Joan Beitner and Rae Ann Dabel.

The operating staff for this year's event. Joan, Dolly, Fran, Eleanor and Rae Ann collected the money and had a good time while they waited.

The early finishers sat on the patio and enjoyed some conversation and beverages while they waited on the rest of the golfers to finish.

Everybody's in.

Everyone waits while Mark totals and posts the final results on the board.

Next year the tournament is scheduled for Saturday, July 11. We hope to see everyone there.
